Annual Meeting Minutes

by Patrick Jones on 01/30/12

For those that could not attend the annual meeting here is a brief recap:

Tee Policy

  • Determined that the standard tee for all players will be the 5600-6000 yard tee.  Full Handicap based upon slope from that tee
  • Players have at their option to play a longer tee and get additional handicap strokes based upon the slope of that tee plus the difference in the course rating from the standard tee and their chosen tee (additional strokes).
  • This is a variation to the old policy where you had to qualify to play the forward tee and then took a reduction in handicap to play that tee.
  • Based upon our membership demographics the core all would qualify based upon age and handicap so it was determined and agreed by those in attendance to make that the standard.

We reviewed the change in the tie breaker proceedure to be used for 1st place finishes.  We will use the recommeded USGA tiebreaker by using holes 10-18 net score as the first tiebreaker, then holes 13-18 then holes 16-18 and if still tied, starting at 18 and going back until the tie is broken.

Also reviewed the schedule and the variation from previous years.  Less Events, lower costs due a reduction in the prize fund and admin fee for each event.  Made the major a 36 hole played over 2 days as well as the tour finale.

Eliminated the hole in one contribution per event.  We have a carry over of 200+ dollars in the current hole in one prize pool that will be paid to the 1st hole in one during this season.  If no hole in one is made that money will be added to the club championship prize pool. Phil Pfieffer won the big prize pool of 750 at our tour finale in November and he paid for the drinks at the club meeting.  thanks Phil!

We discussed the need for additional members and each member is tasked with bringing in one new member.  CCAGC will reward event credit of $10.00 per new member that joins and plays 2 events.
