CCAGC Event:  June 20, 2009  Tigers Eye Results

 

Oh Boy was it HOT!  And so were some of the scores.  The players that could handle the tough pin placements and not give away shots on the green survived the event and did well.  We had 35 players for the event, making it the biggest field of the year so far and no wonder as we are at Tigers Eye.  One of the best courses we play all year in terms of conditions.

 

Congrat’s to Gene Falls with his 2^nd win of the 2009 season and 7^th overall in the 4 year CCAGC history.  His Gross 78 for net 65 bested the field by 2 shots.

 

New member, Mike Dowless posted a gross 71 (1 under par) for a net 67 to finish 2^nd.  Mike’s a 3.3 index and played to a 1.7 and will be a player to watch the last half of the season.  In 3^rd place we had a tie with Wayne Rhodes and Pat Cullifer netting 68’s.  A group of 4 tied for 5^th-8^th place with Net 70’s.

In Winners Bracket:

Wims vs Wysk was delayed due to injury to Dan Wims.  This Match will be played either @ Blackmoor or Shaftsbury Glenn)

 

In 2^nd Chance Bracket:

Darnell vs Grassie was delayed due to injury to Wayne Darnell.  This match needs to be played prior to the Blackmoor event so the winner can play the next round match at Blackmoor

 

Rhodes def   Fenner 1 up after a long climb back from being down 4 after 9 holes.  Great match guys.  Rhodes advances to play Larry Smothers at Blackmoor

 

Tarlton def  Glander 1 up.  Tarlton advances and play the winner coming from the bottom of the bracket where a few matches are behind schedule.

 

Woodall vs O’Bryant was delayed due to scheduling conflicts by Walt Wooddall.  If this match can be played prior to Blackmoor the winner will advance and play Dave Evans @ Blackmoor.
